  Rockville Centre Over 40 League
The Principles of the Rockville Centre Over 40 League are Sportsmanship and Camaraderie.  While the League is designed to be competitive, each player is expected to abide by and demonstrate these Principles.
Basketball experience in the League ranges from players with no organized play to High School varsity experience and up to college team play.  The League is open to residents of Rockville Centre who will be at least 40 years of age as of January 1 for the season the player is registering for.  A drivers license is required as proof of age and residency.  Registration is held in the Recreation Center in the Fall.
The season generally runs from early January to the end of March–early April.  Games are held at the Recreation Center on Sunday evenings and at South Side Middle School on Thursday evenings.
The League consists of eight teams with ten players assigned to each teams.  If more than 80 individuals register, new players are put into a blind lottery from which names are drawn.  New players who do not get assigned to a team initially are placed on a Waiting List.  These players are then assigned to teams during the season as space becomes available.  All players play at least half a game.  The games are officiated by qualified high school referees.

ABA Sports Men's League Playoffs
The ABA Sports Men's Winter League Playoffs continue, with Nassau County Championship Games played in both Division 1 and Division 2. In Division 1, there was a much anticipated matchup between  undefeated Faddy Malone's and the defending Summer League Champion Hammers.  The Hammers prevailed, shooting their way to a 65-51 victory over their much bigger opponent. Jesse Kinneary led the way with 23 points, but the Hammers strength was their team play, and they had solid contributions from everyone. In Division 2, fourth seeded MSC Industrial Supply prevailed, defeating McMurphy's behind 22 points from league scoring champ Joe Dunne. MSC has four players over 40 years old, and again, it was solid team play from everyone that made the difference. Winners now advance to the Long Island Championship game!
